Why stand up and stretch?

Prolonged sitting causes back pain, poor posture, reduced circulation, and lower energy. Regular breaks with guided stretches help improve posture, boost productivity, and reduce health risks.

Perfect for software developers, remote workers, designers, writers, and anyone at a desk.

No tracking. No complexity. Just health reminders, focus sessions, and guided stretches.

Built by developers, for developers.

It works but only if it is open. Looking for something that will work in the background.

Fixed, and live in 1.2.1. You no longer need to keep the app open: when a reminder arrives, tap "I stood up" or "Snooze" right on the notification and the next one is set. Thanks again for describing it so clearly, it led us straight to the bug.

I'm liking it so far. The only issue is that I do not get sound alerts despite setting them on On. Otherwise it's great!

Hi Ritinder, thanks for the 5 stars! Quick one: does the notification banner show, or just the sound is missing? • Sound only: Settings → Apps → Terminal – Stand Up → Notifications → check channel Sound (Samsung often resets it!). • No banner: check notification permission + battery optimization. Email [email protected] — happy to dig in!

The app doesn't have Bluetooth settings so that it connects to your watch.

No Bluetooth setting is needed, Android sends notifications to a paired watch on its own. The bug where reminders stopped repeating in the background is now fixed in 1.2.1, which helps the watch too. You can also tap "I stood up" or "Snooze" on the notification itself. If they still don't show, check your watch's companion app.
